Coneflower has a bright yellow background with hot pinkish purple petalled blossoms starting at the head and continuing along the body to the larger full blossom on the rump. The center of the blossom are a rusty orange with yellow highlights. On the back is a beautiful butterfly and the vivid green leaves are among the blossoms and buds. "I love the Texas wildflowers and being a native of San Antonio I felt we need to have more flowers in the urban areas not jut in the countryside," says artist Gay B. Phillips.
